Study.com assignments
#1
Has anyone had trouble uploading assignments to study.com? I'm taking the Oral Communications course and the videos should be 5-10 minutes long. I've tried recording them with both my webcam and mobile device. The upload page for the assignments says attachments can't be more than 30MB but my first video is about 380MB. I have a message into technical support but does someone know what I'm missing here? Maybe there is a way to format the videos or upload them a different way?

You need to lower the resolution and quality. See instructions for installing and using Handbrake in the following link.

I've tried compressing the videos through four different apps but with the PowerPoint and other attachments I just can't get it under 30mb. I'll try this link but it's very frustrating. I've worked on this all day. I know some of the other course providers let you upload to another site and they access it from there. Seems like study.com should consider doing something similar.

I've had to email the person who grades multiple times before. I use a Chromebook and none of the options the lady gave me to compress would work. It is a pain in the butt.

To bad they don't just let you link them to a YouTube account of something. Videos I had to do for B&M classes were all uploaded to YouTube and then I gave my teacher the link.

I think I remember seeing people say that is what Straighterline does. It would seem to make more sense than having the students have to zip files everytime.

Hi all-

We have added the option to send a YouTube link for submitting presentations! The web form for submission has been changed to reflect this new change, and the instructions will be updated within the day. Thank you as always for your feedback, and we hope this change makes the process easier for you.
