Study.com EXAM ERROR - HELP!
#1
Just took my first proctored final exam for SDC. I was able to download the software, etc. and even take the entire test without a problem.

Then, I went to double check my answers before submitting the exam and got about halfway through when I got an error message box saying I needed to close the program. BTW - I had more than half of my testing time left. Behind the box was a page saying study.com wants to verify that "I'm not a robot"...and then had me check the box.

After several minutes of the page not going away no matter how many times I clicked, I hit the "close session" tab on the upper right side of testing page since this was still there the whole time and all the action was going on inside this test page. (How many times can I say the word "page" here?)

It said to make sure I was finished with exam...and I said "yes". Then it said "thank you" or whatever. BUT...I did NOT receive a preliminary exam score like you're supposed to get (according to everyone here).

I have contacted SDC via email and they said to contact the testing site...which I did via email (with no answer yet).

My membership is done tomorrow night and I don't even know if my exam went through in the first place.

Am I screwed or what?   Sad Anyone have this experience?

OHHH...according to SDC website, it says I HAVE taken the test in some areas and in others, it's asking me to take the test. I have no form of reference for what the site is supposed to say, so wondering if this is normal.

Normally, after you complete the test there will be a submit or complete button. Clicking that will take you to a screen that shows your final score and lets you know not to close the session window until at least 15 minutes have passed so it can finish uploading the video. After that, you can close it and you're done. The score and completion status should be updated on Study.com as soon as you click submit.

If you didn't click the submit button on the last page of the exam, chances are it didn't complete. However, you can check to see if it was submitted on your behalf by looking at your Study.com dashboard. It should say "Pending" under the status for the course where the final score normally shows. There should be an arrow (or something like that) to click on in that area which will take you to a page that shows you the preliminary score (and areas that need improvement) if the test was submitted. I'd offer specific details and a screenshot but my SDC account is closed, so I can't see the dashboard anymore.

If it didn't submit, you'll need to work with RP Now. They may be able to pull the cache from your PC to resubmit. However, most likely they'll make you retake the exam.

Thanks. There's no way it submitted with that description. I'm sure this happens sometimes. Is SDC able to go in and wipe away the "pending" status if the test didn't go through so you can retake it? And do you have to wait the 3 days?

It didn't get submitted, but SDC was able to get my score anyway. YAY! Another class down!
