Study.com Courses that stop being UL at TESU on 12/31/17
#1
Before the current Forum update I had a link to the courses that will no longer be considered UL at TESU after 12/31/17, but what I had is not working now.  Could someone please share with me either the link or the list of courses that will no longer be UL at TESU after 12/31/17.

What's the name of the thread? If you use the forum search, you may be able to find it. Google results in broken links or single posts.

They were the Psych courses that are not ACE-recommended as UL, but TESU counted as UL (that's most of them).

I would venture a guess it might apply to some of the business courses as well - which won't matter for anything that's in the core, but will for anything that you would want to use in the AOS.

I personally would recommend that anyone who wants to use Study.com for UL courses should do it sooner rather than later.

I would love to see that hard list too if someone finds it, if the AOS business stuff is at risk then I need to jump on it.

My Advisor at TESU said that both Vietnam courses are UL until 12/31/17 and will be LL starting in January. They are both listed as LL by ACE.

He also said Advanced Technical Writing is only UL until 12/31/17- If an enrolled student transfers it by 12/31/17.

Hi All,

We're currently going through multiple ACE reviews and hope to have updated credit recommendations in the next month or two. Please stay tuned!

Thank you all for your patience on this.

Best,

Do we just need to finish the course before the end of the year, or finish it and have the transcript sent to ace or tesu, in order to count as UL?

Study.com Title/TESU Equivalency   (until Dec 31, 2017)
Biology 103: Microbiology
   BIO-351 Microbiology
Psychology 104: Social Psychology
   PSY-370 Social Psychology
Psychology 106: Abnormal Psychology
   PSY-350 Abnormal Psychology
Biology 106: Pathophysiology
   BIO-316 Pathophysiology
History 108: History of the Vietnam War
HIS-351 A History of Vietnam War
Psychology 105: Research Methods in Psychology
   PSY-322 Research in Experimental Psychology
History 308: Causes and Effects of the Vietnam War
HIS-351 A History of Vietnam War
Education 103: Classroom Management
   EDU-319 Classroom Management Techniques

According to this the Vietnam 108 will count as UL through the end of the year.  I thought those who have taken it but were told by TESU that it was LL, as well as those who have yet to take the course, might like to know.
I have been putting off enrolling with Study.com until I saw how all of this was going to shake out, since what I needed from them was almost all UL credits.  I applied for the Guardian Scholarship after Study.com posted here about courses being accepted as UL until the end of the year, then I received the above email, and then I was approved for the Guardian Scholarship, so everything has come together at just the right time for me.
I am guarding these emails from Ms. Punchello with my life.

I'm especially curious about business courses....curenetly enrolled to take project management, ops management, and supply chain management to get them out of the way and count as UL, otherwise I have to swap concentrations.

I think people were theorizing that most of the business classes were fine, because they have an ACE evaluation of UL unlike a lot of the classes above, which were evaluated at LL but TESU accepted as UL.

But, if you're worried, go ahead and do them now...you've got plenty of time between now and January so I don't see why you'll have an issue.

iCampy, I would think that you would need to have it ON your Academic Eval before then, but maybe they'll take ACE completion dates? Worth asking.
