I just registered and am studying up for the Principles of Marketing CLEP. I've never done this before, but I need 12 credits total to finish up my bachelors degree. I'm curious what people have done when preparing. Thus far, I've just worked through the first 10 questions several times, then the second 10 questions several times, then both together. Once I have that down, I'll do the same thing with the next 20 questions. Am I harming myself, should I work all the way through instead? This is actually a little harder than I thought it would be. I also considered printing the questions out so I can read them offline, but that will be a ton of paper as it is very apparent that InstaCert doesn't want you doing that and I'm not sure it would be any more effective. Also how many hours would people say they put into this and when you were ready to take the Exam?

Is this your first exam in a while or first exam for CLEP? If you think you're ready for the test, you should go for it.
Essentially each person is different when it comes down to studying and testing, there's no set time frame you go by.
It's how well you think you have the information remembered or if you still are struggling in some section.
In regards to wasting paper, you can print but instead on paper, have it save as a pdf document instead.
You can also try making your own notes with free resources available, like on FreeClepPrep and the Clep website.
Basically what you're doing is correct, as for me, practice testing is where it's at to "gauge" where you stand.

Everyone's different. I always found it good to go all the way through the cards occasionally so could see how much I knew. When I could easily get into the 90s, I felt ready.
