So I was offered the full Pell Grant amount through FAFSA as showing on my Fin Aid page on MaineStreet. But I have no offers of student loans. Do you need to request them separately? I could definitely use the cushion right now for living expenses while I finish this thing up. Just curious if anyone was offered loans right off the bat. I know the Grant covers the tuition, but the loans are also generally for "other" expenses. Thanks for any insight.
Oh, I did the loan counseling thing through FAFSA to be eligible for loans, but haven't signed the promissory note or anything since I have no current offers.

I haven't used the UMPI system yet. I would email UMPI and get more information on that, each school is different in the way they set things up, the number of requirements/steps vary for each school application. ashkir, ss20ts, and others will be more helpful than I... I think it's just one application for all, you may just need to wait...

You should call the Financial Aid on Monday and ask them about student loans. You will get an email with your award package when it's completed. Have you received that? I'd ask Financial Aid about it.

I haven't received an email. I check MaineStreet Student Center a lot because I am anxious. I will wait for the email and see what happens then. They may just not be done yet, and I am jumping the gun. Thanks, all!

As ss20ts suggested, I'd wait until you get the full package and/or call or email Financial Aid. My awards didn't show all at once either. I also had a couple of things change (to my benefit), so I wouldn't hang my hat on it until you get the official notification.

Yes, contacting Financial Aid and asking your questions is a good idea. I also have questions about student loans but haven't contacted someone yet. I have some experience taking loans, but they were not educational.
