Student ID

Does anyone know if we are going to receive a student ID? I sent my picture a little while ago for the ID but I haven’t gotten it yet. Also, I’m still waiting for my sophia courses to be evaluated, I sent them early last month. Anyone is having the same issue?

I didn't even know we COULD get ID's, but I'd love to have one so I can student discounts in my town.

Has any YourPace student ever successfully gotten an ID from them before?

I think someone said they inquired and were told that YourPace students don't get an ID? But I think that was a while ago, so things may have changed.

I completed 2 bachelor's degrees at UMPI and was never offered a student ID. I wouldn't expect one. Most online programs don't offer them.

Oh well, if you're looking for student discounts, you might be able to continue using the email from the institution once you graduate, they may keep it for a year or so. If that is the case, you can go to any place that accepts it and have them send you an email notification...

Did you fill out the form and send it to Amy Berube? (she's in the maine.edu address book)
I completed the form and sent my photo as well.  My friend who is in the YourPace program has received her Student ID, and sent me a photo of it. They are really nice, and I know many want to use it for access to student discounts.

OMG, that's awesome! Cool... How long are the student ID good for? I guess it technically should be while you're still enrolled... I'm pretty curious, would they remove the access after a year to the email? You want to have something as a backup option in case...

I don't know why it double posted, I was attempting to edit and add this:

Yes, I too, am waiting on Sophia transcripts to be evaluated from last month as well.  The main UMPI campus sent me an e-mail stating they had received it, when I inquired.  However, now I have a whole new bucket of classes to send from Sophia, so will send these tomorrow (8/31) with a note to use this transcript instead.

I just looked at hers, and it shows only an issue date.  I'll ask more about the access, when they tell me it's on the way.

I received an ID card for another online-only degree. I've also reached out by email to UMPI Admissions and Amy, since this would be a nice-to-have souvenir.
