Hi everyone. This is my first post. I was conditionally accepted to a DL Masters in Education in program at a well known top 25 university. They recommended Straighterline to me because they would not accept my Statistics course. It was a B- instead of a B. They wanted me to score at least an 82.5% on Straighterline College Algebra. Unfortunately, I scored a 71% in the course. Now I don't believe they will accept me.
However because I am actually only 3 credits away from receiving my New York State teaching certification, I figured I would try to put my Straighterline score to good use. I was hoping to have one of the Straighterline partner schools transcript my score for a grade that I can send to the NYS Ed. Dept.
I already contacted Straighterline and they told me that most schools don't do that because they want you to take classes at their school toward a degree. The rep said that perhaps Excelsior and Charter Oak would do it. I called Excelsior since it is in NY, but they made it seem like they weren't even a parter of Straighterline. They said that Straighterline just prepares test materials and its different from their own tests. Then the rep proceeded to send me information on their upcoming Math courses. I was thoroughly confused.
Anyway, I guess my question is: Are there any Straighterline partner schools that will put the College Algebra course on a transcript from their school that I can send to NYS state?
Thanks!
