Again, it depends on the person and the institution they intend to transfer the courses into, I don't know your intended degree, program, school and if they accept these as exact/workable equivalents. But the reason is as follows... cost, ease, speed, and less 'physical junk' for labs (if any).

StraighterLine, $99/month, $79/course x 3, $69/lab, plus your lab kits x 3 (let's say $200 each?). 99+ 207 + 237 + 600. Total is $1143
Mind you, StraighterLine still uses ProctorU, I have taken 30+/over 100 credits through them, I don't mind ProctorU, but some do.

Study.com, $200/2 exams, $70/extra exam. Labster a virtual labe and it is $69/course I think. Even if you do pay that for 3 different courses, you'll get $207. Total will be $477 flat, no shipping/handling fee for virtual labs either. Note, Study.com may not have a lab for Physics, I haven't taken any lab courses through Study.com (yet).

Oh, if Sophia.org carries Physics, you're already good at a whopping $99/month for all 3 classes combined... they also use Labster and it's included in the membership!
