Statistics course...need help finding one.
#1
I am trying to chose from the best possible course based upon ease, ACE or RA accreditation and accessibility.

I know about aleks, that is an option.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for one looking for the easiest possible road?

Does anyone have a doable course that they have experience with?

Self paced would be great if possible.

Is the DSST statistics exam an option?

Look at how the TECEP Introduction to Statistics is graded: Answer 55 multiple-choice questions correctly out of 100, and you earn a pass ("CR," credit). Answer 100 questions correctly and you also earn a "CR."

Against something like a math phobia, the way a TECEP test has the "pass is a pass" thing built in structurally just might be a special advantage.

Just to share, the TECEP courses tend to be on-par with final exams of similar courses if one is offered by TESC. Having taken the online course version of Intro. Stats at TESC, their course version was rigorous. I do not think I would have passed the exam without sitting through the course itself, and math tends to be my "thing." The final for the course was open-book and I imagine the same would go for the TECEP, but without a couple months of using the book to have that familiarity of where to look, I doubt it would be as much help as one might think. That, combined with the fact that you will not be notified of pass or fail until weeks after sitting the exam could mean a big dent in your timeline if it turns out to be as difficult as I suspect.

Many here have said great things about Straighterline's version of Stats. Repeated success speaks to me on these tougher courses. Stats was tougher than Calculus, in my opinion. Maybe it was because I've been out of school for a while (took Calc fresh out of high school) but the concepts were not as intuitive. It's doable, but it's something I would be terrified to try in CBE format.

Interesting. I'd like to hear more about the SL version from some who have tried it.

Does anyone know if SL's Biz Stats will transfer to EC for their BSN requirements?
