I have two friends who are trying to complete their AAS degree through Pierpont. Which of these environmental sciences courses would you choose and why? They need the fastest and easiest to understand. Any tips on studying for these courses if you have taken them?

Sophia. It's not super challenging or "technical." In general, I'd recommend your friends get as many of their credits as they can from their Sophia subscription since it's one of the most affordable options out there.

Thanks for your quick responses! No DSST exams are being offered in our area. I will recommend Sophia then. Any tips on the course itself from anyone who has taken it?

A DSST costs more than a single month at Sophia and that's before proctoring/test center fees. Plus, having to go somewhere for testing is nowhere near as convenient as Sophia at home.

Depending on what credits they already have and what their plans are after Pierpont, they might want to take advantage of the remainder of the month to take other classes at Sophia.

If you're going to purchase a membership from Sophia.org, you might as well do a few of their courses and not just this one course, ladder them up and try to finish a few during that month membership. If there are other courses that fancy your interests, take them as well, you're able to take up to two course a time. Invest in a second monitor for multi-tasking...

The correct answer has already been given more than once, but Sophia all the way. I took the SL course solely due to the fact when I took it, the Sophia classes were very expensive in comparison. Had the Sophia been at a similar price point, I'd have taken that option every time.
SL isn't bad, but Sophia is a cut above for sure.
