Not sure why you thought you were done; are there other 200 level Soc Sci courses still outstanding? Depending on the term you are registered, Sep or Oct, below are my recommendations -

Option 1: If September, I think there is still time to replace SOS-110 with the epack course PSY-363 Industrial Psychology. This course exam was easily doable. Epacks are similar to TECEPs but instead of studying completely on your own, the epack course gives you access to online quizzes for each chapter of the recommended text. You take each quiz multiple times until you've been presented with all available questions/answers which you then use to create your study notes/guide. The comprehensive exam you take (similar to the TECEP) that when passed you are awarded CR. This course would fit in the area of study and AOJ-111 would jump to the general education slot.

Then you could take one of the following DSST exams: PSY-211 Lifespan Developmental Psychology or PSY-331 (COU262) Fundamentals of Counseling to fill the other Area of Study slot. Both are very easy.

Option 2: Take both DSST exams to complete the area of study and continue with the SOS-110 course which I also found easy. Although more work than quickly skimming through the PSY-363 textbook, online quizzes and studying the created study guide. I could even send you my old study guide to get you started toward that effort.

Good luck!

Thank you for the prompt response, I just spoke with advising and I only need 1 200 level SS course. The AOJ 140 should be getting changed to AOJ 280 and the SOC110 and Capstone classes I just completed. I guess when my ACE transcript was evaluated it bumped out some of the Free Elective courses to "other courses" once the change is completed they will be back in the free elective section and I just have one class to complete. Thanks again Smile

Well, that's awesome news!

Either one of the DSST exams would work for you, they are both level 1 (easiest).
Take a look at both flashcard sets to determine which best complements your existing knowledge base. For PSY-211 use specific exam feedback thread along with the flashcards for the CLEP version of the exam, Human Growth and Development.

Good luck!

You need at least 12 hours in either SOC or SOS, so you could ask them to switch around Intro to Sociology and Cultural Anthropology so you have 12 hours of SOC in your major. Also, you might see if they would count the DSST Substance Abuse (SOS-305) as a separate class from the SOS-303 that you already have for 3 more hours you need. Good luck!

KayV,

As always, Great catch on the SOC credit!!

Unfortunately the following duplicate: Degree Programs
SOS-304-GS Drugs and Society DUPLICATES SOS-303-TE Substance Abuse: Fundamental Facts AND SOS-305-DE Drug and Alcohol Abuse.

That's okay, the switching ANT-150 for SOC-101 should fulfill the 12 hours. And one of the PSY exams will work too, so OP is all set!
