So..depressed? Distraught?

First of all Congratulations!! I knew you could overcome that pesky algebra.

Second give ACE a chance it is a Saturday and it can take up to 48 hours (but usually takes less)

Third try the Bordentown area it is usually a safe area and not far from Trenton there is a Candlewood suites there and other hotels.

When is the graduation I think my Ceremony was actually in early Oct.

The graduation is on September 26 at 2:30 p.m.! I'll be driving up from the DC area on Friday, and driving back on Sunday. (If I am jinxing myself by constantly acting as if this is a done deal, you will hear my screams in South Carolina!) If I have actually passed College Algebra, I wonder if it isn't too late to get my diploma in June. I've paid for tuition, and I think it ends this month.

Isn't the cut off for June graduation application the beginning of April? I don't think that will work. Did you already send in your application and check the Sept. Graduation? As long as all work is completed and graduation applied for you do not have to still be enrolled to get your degree or attend graduation. I finished my AAS requirements in Oct. my enrollment ended the 31st I was approved for the Dec graduation and could have attended the next ceremony without paying any further tuition.

If worst comes to worst and I still haven't sold my NJ house by then it is only about 50 minutes from Trenton and empty. banghead

By the way I am out of SC and back in the Buffalo area I think that is a little further from DC. But I still hope to hear a scream of joy when your graduation is confirmed.:hurray:

The cut off is the beginning of April, but I thought I'd put that out there in case someone had some weirdly wonderful experience with TESC, and TESC said something like, "You mean you've been pursuing your degree for almost 40 years? Of course we'll make an exception for you and let you graduate in June." Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Thank you for the info about graduation application and enrollment. At least I won't have to pay any more tuition.

Oh, your house is still on the market? I feel your pain. Just before the market tanked in the late 80s, I bought a townhouse with some others. The plan was to buy it, live there for a couple of years building equity, and then buy homes individually. The market tanked right after we bought. The developer was selling the remaining homes with free upgrades that we had paid for. Finally, after renting it for a bit, we sold it 6 or 7 years later - bringing $21,000 to the table. I'm a mean-spirited person, but I didn't feel much pity for many of the folks who bought houses and lost them in the most recent housing crash. We owners continued to pay our mortgage, and it was something like 9% or 13%. Needless to say, since we were under water, we couldn't finance. I learned my lesson. I'd take you up on your offer, but I've only got one inflatable mattress, and I'm hoping at least two other people will come along.

By the way, you're too popular. Your inbox is full.

Congratulations on completing the final requirement for your degree!!!cheersmate This is great news and you deserve to do the happy dance...Shake your moneymaker!!

You should submit your request for graduation form as soon as possible since your enrollment is ending. Make sure you note in section 3 (if memory serves) any completed credits/transcripts not yet applied/received by the school.

On making the June graduation cut-off, after submitting your form to the bursar contact the school and ask to speak to the graduation specialist. Ask if it's possible to be considered for June conferral. They will most likely say no (see below) but it does not hurt to inquire.

To all students: When you know you are close to completion and may finish earlier than expected, it is best to submit the form too early, than miss the cut off date and have to wait until the next date. Getting in early actually allows time for problems to be sorted, corrected and your file then expedited for conferral. If your form was not submitted by the requested date, the student is automatically queued for the next conferral date. At least this has been the case over the past few years.

No, no, no. NO congratulations yet. I've got to learn that I really passed the test (my attempts to access ACE may cause the Internet to crash quicker than pix of a K family member's booty.) I've got to come up with something profound and moving. Something showing my gratitude, and something that will inspire others. This is NOT my "I'm done" posting. This is my emotional roller coaster posting!

I'm so sorry about your dog. I know how much that hurts. Embrace the happy memories.

Would tutoring help?

Does StraighterLine have any ACE-approved options for these?

You're almost done; don't give up now!

Latebloomer - I am walking in Sept too!!! We are alike in the whole bipolar thing....ranting...sweating through ALEKS (took me 108 hours for college algebra) - I took screen shots of the pie chart and saved them when I submitted algebra to ACE because I was so sure ALEKs would self destruct and take my score with it. How we're not alike....I scoff at fate. Taking my last 2 classes now and am planning on walking in Sept...yes, of course I'm going to pass them, fate....nyaaa nyaaa. So sure of it I already bought a mug with the TESC alumni logo on it. Drink my coffee out of it while I do assignments for these last 2 classes...yah heard that fate?! *sidesteps a lighting bolt*
