Folks,
I need a little help. I have tested out of 33 credits in the last 2 months, and I am down to the College Composition Requirement, and the Capstone for a BS in Liberal Arts at EC. EC has accepted a UL English Composition course from New School for Social Research. I asked my advisor for advice on the easiest way to complete the College Composition Requirement which would be a LL english composition.
My advisor's response was that I was required to take the UEXCEL College composition course. I asked the advisor if they would consider accepting the College Composition from CLEP, or the Business Writing from DSST. The advisor stated no; they would only accept the UEXCEL .
I have taken several UEXCEL courses and I have received A's but the questions are written in such a way that they try draw the student into the wrong answer. Since I am so close to completion I did not want to chance a failure as I learned all those grammar rules a long time ago.
I have been studying for the CLEP. Should I let this slide or should I challenge my advisor?
Many Thanks in advance!!!

Not accepting CLEP for this requirement is a long-standing policy. I haven't kept up on the current options, but you could ask if they still accept SL for this.

When I went through they wouldn't accept CLEP or the DSST. I did the Uexcel and got an A without any prep.

Also, someday maybe a MS in Forensic Psychology, just for fun. Oh, and a BS in Animal Behavior. And, maybe when I'm 85 a PhD in something fun.

Nope, just forgot I had the test and didn't want to lose the money so I showed up! The good thing is that you can get a few digs for grammar and punctuation, but still get an A if your writing make sense.

When I was enrolled at EC they accepted the SL course. They are picky about the written english requirement.
Currently studying for: Still deciding.

don't they give you short articles to write about and you have to use APA style citations referring to those articles in your writing ?
I can never remember how to do that citation, footnote stuff
I haven't take in the test yet, but I've always worried that's where I would loose all my points
I no how too write good and my grammer and spelling is good to

You have to write two essays in 2 hours using MLA format. In text citing. They give you two situations to analyze and then you have to write your essays. I am having trouble finding any detail on this College comp Uexcel.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
