Lewis.Yim Wrote:Just a couple of quick questions, how do you prepare for the chapter exams and the final at the end of the Shmoop? I see you have taken about half a dozen in only a few days!
Do you use an extra browser and open up tabs? Do you create a pdf or document to search, is that even possible with Shmoop? Do you have resources elsewhere to search or find the answers?
Any other tips for a newbie to Shmoop? Thank you very much, Lewis.
Sorry, I am unfamiliar with Shmoop and how to use their system. I was wondering, can I subscribe to their non college credit subscription and get the majority of the work done, then with the College Plus, I can finish it off?
I have been reading some people use the cheaper subscription for Study.com to complete everything and then use the College Accelerator to get credit. I am thinking of subscribing for a month to get a few courses almost done, then get the College accelerator.
If I need more courses I’ll pay the exam fee at $70/exam each additional Study.com course. Is that the best way to tackle both Shmoop and Study.com? Any suggestions? Thank you.

No. Shmoop does not allow access to the college courses unless you're subscribed to the College Plus plan.

with Study.com the college version is $200 a month for 2 tests, after that its $70 per test for the rest of that month, so you save money by doing more than just the 2 per month. So definitely do as many as you can each month.
With Shmoop its just a flat fee of $88 or something like that per month, unlimited, so there's less pressure there but still its cheaper the more you do. So if you're really into saving money, I would do 1 month of Shmoop and do as many as you can there, then cancel it and do 1 month of study.com, then cancel that and go back if you need to. i'm currently subbed to both of them at the same time because i feel like doing 3 of each per month, or 4 of each, or whatever, is worth the money and i can't really do much more than that anyway while going to TESU and working full time too. so for me its just convenient to have it there and i work on it when I can, but everyone isn't me so do whatever suits you

I am looking at this webpage for a 30 day trial at Study.com:
https://www.tesu.edu/studycom/index.cfm
My questions, what are the limitations for this? Do you have access to everything but no final exams?
I am going to start taking Study.com courses in April and want a head start, I am not a US Resident.
Does this Trial version allow access to a few select courses or is it for any course? Any tips for them?
I plan to take at least 4 courses from them and may want to take the extra exams at $70/exam.
Probably, I may have more questions, but this is it for now. Thank you in advance!
