ACE vs Parchment transcript (grades and dates)
#1
Hi guys,

I need a transcript for some courses I took with Sophia. They suggested using Parchment, which is cheaper and lists the grades (which is good I suppose) but it also lists the start/end date for each course. Since I've finished three courses in a couple of days I'm afraid that my school won't be impressed by that.

The other option would be an ACE transcript, but how do they look like? I already know that they don't show grades, but what about dates?

I suspect I'm not the only one with some very short completion dates, what are your experiences?

Many thanks!

Take the ACE transcript.
This shows your name, dob, SSN. Recipient info. Transcript print date.
It lists the courses with title, description, recommendation and date completed. This is grouped by provider.

Thank you, it's great that it shows also the description.

I would do ACE but I've used both and both are fine.

Bear in mind that many of these providers, like Study.com, are just pass/fail and won't give you a grade
Study.com - 177 CR. TESU - 39 CR. Middle Georgia State University - 15 CR. Sonoran Desert Institute - 42 CR. COSC - 6 CR. Excelsior - 6 CR. CLEP - 6 CR. Sophia - 14 CR. TEEX - 2 CR. Shmoop - 18 CR. NFA - 4 CR. The Institutes - 2 CR. FEMA - 20ish

BA in History/English from TESU.
BA in Communications from TESU. AS in Firearms Technology from SDI.

That depends. From Sophia, I had my transcripts sent via Parchment and the numeric grade I scored in the class was included on the transcript. The numeric grade transferred to my school and it is shown on my transcripts with the numeric grade. It. does not say pass/fail.

Very interesting.

There are some specific situations in which graded credit is needed and I guess UMPI would be a place to possibly do that.

Thanks for the info.
