Seeking advice -UMPI BBA - Project Management Concentration
#1
Hello everyone, So I've started collecting credits using the template and the wiki's guidance and so far everything is all good and I am on the track.
However, I would also appreciate comments on my degree plan so that I may be prepared for the next Your pace deadline in December.
For General Ed: (I will take all these courses from Sophia and Study.com except for HUM 103 Creative Decision Making )
English Composition I (Sophia)
English Composition II (study.com) 3
Introduction to Sociology 3
Introduction to Biology with Lab [study.com] 4
American Government 3
Spanish I  3
Introduction to Ethics 3
US History I 3
Communication at Work 3
Environmental Science 3
Art History I 3
MAT 140 Mathematics for Business 3
TOTAL: 37 credits

For general electives: (All From Sophia, data analyst cert from Coursera)
Ancient Greek Philosophers 3
3 credits from Macro/Micro  3
Business Law 3
Google data analyst extra credit 6
Art + US history 2 : 6
Human Biology 3
Total : 24 credits

Business courses I already took and am planning to take on Study.com + Coursera:
BUS 101 : Introduction to Business (Sophia) 3
Bus 150 : Introduction to Financial Accounting (Sophia) 3
Eco 207 (Sophia Macro/Micro) 3
PCJ 215 (as the wiki stated that the requirement is filled by Com at work, so I took human Bio to fill the 3 credit required)
BUS 220 + Buss 244 + Bus 353 (All on Study.com) 9
Total: 18 credit

PM courses:
BUS 240 + BUS 415 (Study.com) 6
BUS 245 (Google Data analytic) 3
Total: 9 credits

ALL credits : 9+18+37+24 = 88 credits

Classes that I will take at UMPI:
BUS 200
Bus 325
Bus 440
Bus 469
Bus 141
Bus 343
Bus 345
Bus 359
Bus 400
Bus 401
HUM 103
Total = 33 credits

Ending credit = 33+88 = 121 credits

I appreciate you taking the time to review my plan and provide suggestions!

If you're going with UMPI, don't take English Comp from Sophia/SDC. UMPI is much easier and faster!
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

American Government at UMPI is a piece of cake! It can be completed in 3 days. I wouldn't pay to take it at Study. I'd prefer getting an easy A in my GPA. I would take English Comp at UMPI as well. Each one is 1 paper at UMPI. BUS359 hasn't been offered in awhile and was not open to everyone back when it was offered.

Hey tb1109, basically depends on your situation, it may be a good idea to provide more details by filling in the template and last post addendum here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Everyone will have different ideas on getting the 10 courses at UMPI, depending on your budget, commitments, energy, time, etc.  If you have the energy, money, time, then I would suggest keeping the plan "as is" and complete the HUM103 at Study.com or UMPI if you don't want to... If you have more cash, energy, time, then you may want to add courses at UMPI too, like a double major or concentration.

Side Note: Just make sure to have about the max of 10-11 courses to take at UMPI, if you can transfer in different courses that may be easier, do so to exchange harder courses at UMPI, such as the English I & II courses as mentioned.  Again, it really depends on your preferences.  A mix/match approach to balance every course by number of assignments, assessments, or exams.  If you like writing, great, take more with those, if not take less...
