Does Astronomy and Astronomy Lab count towards GEC 3 in any fashion? I took that already and if it does count, would the 4 credits only be for one Learning Objective 3D or 3E?

Astronomy and Astronomy Lab from where? Any lab science will fulfill 3E. UMPI doesn't offer a course in astronomy so it's hard to say if they would accept it for 3D but it is highly doubtful because 3D covers: "Students will be able to describe environmental or physical aspects of the Earth and its abiotic systems, and discuss humankind’s effect on and place within these systems." Astronomy isn't on Earth so probably not. It would be a general elective most likely.

Hmm.. Ok. I took it at my Community College. We had a 101 and a 102. Solar System and Beyond The Solar System, respectively. I took Solar System. We did cover Earth and everything about it, but I do see your point.

Basically, only way of knowing is, to apply, transfer all credits, get an evaluation and show us what the highlighted yellow missing fields are. You can attach that as a pdf or picture document to your Google/One drive as a viewable (not editable) file, make sure to remove any personal info. We can see if it came in or not, provide recommendations, and so on... BTW, you may want to fill us in with the info on the addendum and template, so we get a bigger picture of your situation. https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

I commented on a Newlane thread before, but now I'm tossed around in my own head, thinking about UMPI and possibly others. Help me organize a plan, because if I don’t commit and follow one, I’ll keep putting it off. And at this point, I just want to get it done quickly.
My Story: I was young and dumb and kept trying to restart myself academically starting ~20 years ago, but ultimately ended up falling off each time. Except now. I still may be lost and don’t know what I truly want to study, but I've been putting in the work, member of Phi Theta Kappa and I’ll be graduating in May from my CC and ready to take the next step. *I am not opposed to taking more Sophia credits to fulfill any Gen Eds that might be missing/needed* Your Location: New Jersey, USA Your Age: 40 What kind of degree do you want?: The quickest Bachelor's, honestly. Current Regional Accredited Credits: 84 Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: 6 Any certifications or military experience?: No Budget: $5,000 - negotiable if over. Commitments: Weekends all damn day. Dedicated time to study: Weekdays(1-2PM start): random weekends. Timeline: ASAP Tuition assistance/reimbursement: If I land a PTK scholarship, that would be great. In addition to considering UMPI, being in NJ, Thomas Edison State University (TESU) might be a great choice for you, you have in-state tuition, they award credit for the PTK Edge certificates and you might be able to do the 3+1 program.: https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/communit.../index.php
Here are the TESU degree plans: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:TESU You could transfer in quite a bit more from Study.com and Sophia, since your credits are mostly RA. You could do a 15-credit term at TESU to get the flat-rate tuition.

Basically, I would skip Newlane in favor of UMPI or TESU, please apply to both UMPI and TESU to see where your credits go. Once you know which degree you want is cheaper, easier, faster to finish, you'll know which remaining classes are required. I'm leaning on UMPI being the heavy favorite even though you're in NJ. You can decide if the flat rate 15 credits at TESU would be better or 2 sessions at UMPI, both coming in about the same price and energy/time wise...

I went through it all, and my Associates got me most of GEC minus Ethical Leadership & Civic Engagement. I need to look again, I thought my Associates would cover ALL GEC, idk. But I have all Electives satisfied, Liberal Studies General Coursework is 19/24. I did not send any Sophia. (I think I get one more evaluation before enrollment and that would cover it) This looks like the final tally of remaining courses: TESU SOS-1100 Ethical Leadership Civic Engagement MAN-4150 - Change Management NEG-4010 - Negotiations & Conflict Management PSY-3600 - Organizational Theory PSY-3630 - Industrial Psychology MAN-3730 - Managerial Communications Capstone I'll most likely be talking with an advisor tomorrow.

Congrats, that's a great evaluation.
If you wish, you can do the following on Sophia: Ethical Leadership Intro to Ethics (TESU PHI-1800 Introduction to Ethics) Civic Engagement US Government (POS-1100 American Government) Managerial Communications Business Communication (TESU MAN-2020 Intro to Business Communication, replaces 3730) You can do the following on Study: Business 319: Negotiations & Conflict Management (TESU NEG-4010 Negotiations and Conflict Management) Business 323: Organizational Theory (TESU PSY-3600 Organizational Theory) Business 324: Managerial Communication (if you need the upper level MAN-3730)
