Seeking UL Education Class Feedback
#1
Huh Huh Huh

Has anyone taken UL Education classes at UMPI? I'm looking for feedback on the amount of work required for the following classes:

  • EDU 302: Teaching & Learning in a professional Based System
  • EDU 305: Designing and Maintaining Effective Learning Environments
Since I'm a trainer at work, I thought maybe these would be interesting but I also don't want a class that will require a TON of work due to time constraints.

Thanks in advance!!!

I did a History and Political Science major but took EDU 305 for fun at the end of my second session. I ended up wishing I had just taken another political science course. I found it to be a lot of work with tough grading and strange comments on my writing, such as being told that I ought not use m-dashes, even though I was using them correctly. It wasn't bad, but it was more work than I anticipated and I thought the paper grading felt haphazard.

All of the EDU courses in the minor require a great deal of writing. The professors are extremely picky. I've seen more people drop this minor than complete it.

I appreciate the feedback. I will stay away.  Big Grin

That's very good insight. Thanks for helping me dodge a bullet. How is your Master's program going at WGU?
