Scoring of Refreshed DSST Exams
#1
Hello All,

Although I have taken several DSST exams including refreshed ones and have searched for this information, I still don't understand the scoring. I know the passing score is 400, but what is the range - what are the minimum and maximum scores? I just took a DSST and scored 443. I am wondering how well did I score? Is the score equivalent to an A, B, or C?

Thank you for the link with the information. It looks like I got at least a B in every DSST except the one I failed. Is there any information on which scores equal an A?

Just know that ultimately it depends on the school you get your degree with. EC only gives you a pass on these, but letter scores on the older grading methods.

Perhaps you can go online to the school you are with or interested in to see what their policy is.

Unfortunately, not for the refreshed exams.

I am wondering, I took a Statistics DSST yesterday and the score I was given was a 3 digit score. I had a passing score but my school cannot register me for Stats 2 until the score is converted to a 2 digit score. I got a 420/400 ... is this still a passing score for the Dantes test??

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

This exam has been refreshed and the new passing score is 400. Congratulations on passing! Your score will not be converted to a two-digit score by DSST. Your school may require a score higher or lower than 400 to get credit. Another forum member had trouble getting credit for a refreshed exam at their college. With persistence, it did get resolved. Maybe the advice she received will help you, too. Here is the thread:
