I JUST finished the Milestone for the last unit for Statistics. (And I am cross-eyed.) I barely had time to finish it. Who am I fooling? I didn't finish it, but I still managed to pass. Before these last two units, I would have said I would like to see Bus. Stats. at Sophia. Now? I don't know if I could survive it.

To me, business stats is easier. It's not a math course per se. It's a bit different of an approach. I'm sooooo excited to take Intro to Stats with Sophia after this College Algebra course.....NOT even a little! I get to take Intro to Stats and Eng Comp II together beginning 7/31. Man am I excited.....like watching paint dry. LOL It's amazing how much we forget in subjects like math. Use it or lose really is a thing. I've taken College Algebra years ago and algebra in high school and I swear learning Mandarin Chinese would be easier.

Just noticed someting while going through the Sophia Business Law course. Most/all tutorials so far are based off of Lumen Learning. Lumen Learning has also been used for English Composition II, Principles of Finance, and Human Biology. What's Lumen Learning? It's a platform/system that provides inexpensive pre-made courses for institutes of higher learning.
The courses that Lumen has on offer are listed here: https://lumenlearning.com/wp-content/upl...0-2020.pdf
You might notice that it matches Sophia's current offerings fairly well! Sophia is missing several, including some that have been mentioned on this thread:
- Spanish I & II
- Science courses, including chemistry & geology
- Precalculus
- Calculus
- Technical writing
- Intro to Literature
- American Literature
- Marketing

I wonder if we're likely to see some of these added?

Keep monitoring the list of accredited Sophia courses on the ACE site. That's where we got the heads up about finance and business law before they went live.

I hope so! I've grown rather fond of Sophia's methods. Though it has its drawbacks, so do other learning platforms. I would especially like to see Spanish and the literature courses added.

Agreed! I'd love to see more of those courses too. I'd pay $150 just to do more courses for fun.

StraighterLine has a few and Study.com has quite a few.

Yes this is a problem. Most of these courses are provided only by SDC
There is no really much choice. In some cases SDC courses are not the best option for some subjects. Thus, it would be great to have options. Also Sophia courses structured well in most cases. I would love to see what they can do with computers science courses.
