Just 25 min of google and I can find better Out-of-State deals!
Cochise College, AZ, Online Out-of-State $143
College of Southern Nevada, 1-7 Credits Out-of-State, Lower-Level, $113
College of Southern Nevada, 1-7 Credits Out-of-State, BAS Upper-Level, $185
Highline College, WA, Out-of-State $124.85/credit ($187.28/SH)
$296.10 Out-of-State, Western Illinois University
$296.50 Out-of-State, Peru State College
$285 Out-of-State, College of Southern Idaho Those 4-year college rates are not the norm. The average out-of-state tuition is over $25,000.

So the problem isn't finding better prices necessarily - I think most of us can find decent in-state prices for online courses. It's finding a school with a large online catalog, AND rolling start dates - Rio Salado has both, most schools don't.

Americans need to learn to shop around for education and use goggle. The US higher-education system is a racket.

Maybe it's because I was only looking for science prerequisites, but Rio Salado never appealed to me. I found the same courses that they were offering at other schools. The Dallas Community College District is cheaper for out-of-state students, even compared to Rio's old cost, and they offer online science courses that Rio doesn't. They don't have rolling start dates, but they have 8-week classes. Expect to pay more at a school with rolling start dates because they're going to need more adjuncts.

I would have used that had I known about it. I did plenty of Google searching beforehand but this one never came up.

It's never appealed to me either (CA CC's are far cheaper at $46/cr) - but I have recommended it to people who needed credit immediately in something and didn't live here.

Excellent new information - I haven't heard of Highline before. Looks like they also to cheap language tests for Arabic, Japanese, Spanish, French and Mandarin for 5-10 credits: https://placeandtest.highline.edu/tests/stamp/
They also convert quite a few certificates: https://pla.highline.edu/Pre.assessed.training.php

They are Qtr Credits, not SH.
I personally did other occupational crosswalks at $35/credit. I think this is a deal. I am not a cop. They are listed as below the line HC credits on the official transcript.
https://pla.highline.edu/How.Much.Does.PLA.Cost.php
I also used these credits towards a Highline College Certificate.
