Jonathan Whatley Wrote:But wait, there's more! The requirement is in "Interpersonal/Business Communication." The UExcel ECEP (formerly ECE) in Interpersonal Communication should likely meet that. Interpersonal Communication is a 3-hour test, for $325.

There's also a separate UExcel ECEP in Workplace Communication with Computers. This is primarily a professional communication course, more than a computer technology course. Basically, they mean that it incorporates basic Internet and office applications literacy in the context of communication:

Workplace Communication with Computers is 2 hours, and $95.

Even better! Good catch! But definitely check with your adviser and make sure that this test will meet the requirement.

I have a Law Office Communications course 3 credits that I thought would count for this requirement but nope it ended up as a free elective.

Description:
Communications*
Sub*Topics* Includes*
Writing*skills* Correspondence,*composition*
Word*usage*and*vocabulary* Vocabulary,*inappropriate*use*of*slang,*spelling*
Grammar/punctuation* Correct*and*incorrect*use*of*punctuation,**
Capitalization* Geographic,*government,*names*
Client*communications* Telephone*communications*
General*communications*related*to*interoffice*
situations*
Communications*with*co‐workers*and*other*employees,*confidentiality*
Nonverbal*communications* Nonverbal*communications*
Interviewing*techniques* Documents,*preparation,*special*challenges,*roles*

Can you appeal that decision or whatever to have them reconsider it for a course?
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

Road traveled: AA (2013) > BS (2014) > MS (2016) > Doctorate (2024)

If God hadn't been there for me, I never would have made it. Psalm 94:16-19
