I am wondering if the 2 exams per month are absolute or can you bank them. SO for example if I need a full month to get through one class, will access to the 2nd exam roll over to the next month, or would I need to pay for the 3rd one assuming I could knock out three the following month? What happens if I take the exam on the last day of the month and fail it, how is the retake the following month handled?

OK so it looks like you get two exams per billing period and if you don't use them you lose them. Additionally, from what I can tell so far(I have reached out for clarification) a retake counts as one of the two exams.

You are correct - Use it or lose it; and a retake is a regular exam (meaning it counts as if you're taking it for the 1st time, no special deal there).

your 3rd exam plus any additional ones that month are only $70 each so you're actually better off to do several a month vs just the 2

Exactly. You get two per billing period which works out to be about $100 per course. You can lower your cost per credit, however, by purchasing 6 months of study.com in advance or by taking several extra exams per month at $70/each.

Another option is to purchase 3 months of Study.com for $149/month through the HomeSchooling Coop. I think that's the best deal to get 6 courses in total. If you need any more during those three months, you can pay an extra $70/exam. I recommend at LEAST one extra/month or 2 if you take the easier ones.
I think that's the sweet spot... unless of course, you need more than 9 courses total, you can get the 6 months for $149/month as well and do the same thing, take an extra exam at $70/exam. Find the number of courses you would like to take from Study.com and the time frame you want to finish.
