Re: Degree Plan - the Microsoft Office Specialist Access certification works for "IT163 Database Concepts Using Microsoft Access" but I'm not sure it's less work.
Re: Capstone - correct, it begins the first Monday after start of term and runs for all 10 weeks.
Since Communicating Professionalism is required, now the degree plan is missing one course to bring in the maximum 135 credits.
Here are some easy certifications to get that should take less than 2 weeks each.
CIW Web Design Specialist $150
IT117: Website Development (required for the degree)
IT214: Foundations of Web Design
IT247: Fundamentals of Web Graphics
Microsoft Office Specialist Access certification $100
IT133: Microsoft Applications on Demand (required for the degree)
MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist): Access 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 $100
IT163: Database Concepts Using Microsoft Access (required for the degree)
CompTIA A+ $219
IT190: Information Technology Concepts (required for the degree that would replace the Sophia IT course)
IT332: Principles of Information Systems Architecture (required for the degree)
Another idea is to skip doing the Saylor project management and do a certification instead. You can't bring in both Project Management and CompTIA since that messes up the five 6 credits courses you need to take at PUG to hit the 45 credits perfectly that need to be taken at PUG. 5 x 6cr = 30 3 x 5cr = 15cr. Then 30+15=45.
I Updated the degree plan to include certification options.
I didn't include any certification that I thought would take longer than 2 weeks such as the ISACA/CISA which would be way too much work to bring in the one course of IT331: Technology Infrastructure.

quick question, for certification transfer, certification like "Oracle: Database Foundations" equivalent to "IT525" which I believe a graduate level course based on the course number. can we transfer this to undergrad degree?
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your experience. I was wondering what courses did you choose for your concentration? And then what courses did/will you take for your Open Electives? I think I read that it's possible to fill those with Sophia courses? Is that what you did?

The concentration is Programming and Software Development. The OP took the 1 PHP certification from W3Schools which filled all the requirements for the concentration. For the open electives, you can take whatever you want.

Attached is the original plan. I never got to complete IT163 and IT301 equivalents, so I took those at Purdue Global. Hope it helps.
