That leaves 25cr to take at PurdueGlobal:
- CS212: Communicating Professionalism
- IT133: MS Office Applications on Demand
- IT273: Networking Concepts
- IT234: Database Concepts
- IT296: IT Internship OR IT299: IT Capstone
So if you could do the first 4 courses in 1 term at PurdueGlobal for $2500, and then take the capstone for $1855, you'd be in for $4355. A bit pricy for an AAS, but not terrible.
The only thing I don't know is whether they allow you to choose your courses (my daughter is in a regular program there, and they let her take whatever she wants in whatever order). But if you can, then it's an easy degree to get.
In ExcelTrack, you can't take courses outside of your degree program. Every course isn't offered every session either. Your advisor has to approve your courses as well. Some courses have to be taken in a specific order. ExcelTrack is different than the semester/session based program.
Those 4 courses are all required for the BSIT degree.

CS212 has been removed from some ExcelTrack degrees. The Internship or Capstone cannot be taken in ExcelTrack. They may not be able to these courses and no others in ExcelTrack as the advisors have say in your courses. And like I said before, every course is not offered every session. You can wait 2 sessions for a course to become available.

That's why I said that they should check to see first.
And I also said that the Capstone would be a standalone course after the Exceltrack was completed.

Right, but that Capstone is not for an ExcelTrack degree. They would be admitted to the ExcelTrack program. That Capstone course wouldn't even be an option for them to enroll in. PUG is weird about the differences between the two programs.

@OP, Hey I'm repeating the above... as I mentioned, you might want to review what BSIT options are available for the Exceltrack that will take the AWS, Google, W3, Sophia.org and so on... Find the degree that matches your credits and the one you like most.
Then map out the plan, you can follow the wiki link for extra assistance in finding the acceptable courses for transfer. Each of the Exceltrack options should have a capstone, an internship, or similar requirement. Link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:PUG

Yes - you would enroll in the ExcelTrack degree, then quit after you completed the 4 courses, then take the Capstone as a regular student.

And they may need to reapply. PUG is really weird with the ExcelTrack.

Ok, so reapply. I don't get why you're arguing this. The entire point was:
1) apply at PUG for the BSIT/ExcelTrack
2) find out if you can take those 4 specific courses first that are required both by the BSIT/ExcelTrack and the AAS IT
3) find out if those 4 courses are available in a single term
4) do a term of the ExcelTrack program
5) withdraw from the ExcelTrack program
6) ask to be switched to the AAS IT program; or else reapply to it
7) take the AAS IT capstone
The person wants an AAS, I found a possible way for them to get one, and there may be some extra steps to get what they want, but it's worth at least trying. There is absolutely nothing lost by asking some questions.

All I'm saying is that PUG can be really weird about things with the ExcelTrack. I would definitely ask and get approval in writing if someone wanted to go for an associate degree through ExcelTrack.
Why would you apply before asking questions and getting confirmation?
