Problems with TESC evaluation.....

Hello Good People,


Here's the deal. My initial TESC evaluation was done but they neglected to add any if my 45 Straighterline Credits. I emailed the Admissions Department then received a reply stating my the omission of my Straighterline credits was an oversight. Then I was informed that my SL credits were added and my evaluation was updated.

When I reviewed the "updated" transcript, only 3 SL credits were awarded. English 1, Macro & Micro.


I'm positive I have fulfilled ALL of the requirements for the AAS in Information, Environmental and Security Technologies. Look at the courses in my signature.


Is this how TESC normally conducts "business"? What should I do?

If you have paid your enrollment fee, call the advising center and ask them to explain why your straighterline courses were not applied. At minimum they should be applied to free electives if the course does not fall in your desired AAS program. Looks like most of your courses from SL are in business, are they in fact needed for an IES associates?

I agree with the prior post, most of those credits are elective only for the AAS. Call them and see what's up. If you are enrolled then they are open until 6pm Eastern Time in advising at 1-888-442-8372 (although the registrar may need to look at it too).

your 21 FEMA credits are more than the 18 free electives required for the degree you are seeking. It does not look like you have room for many of the SL courses.
Are they showing as "other courses" at the bottom of your evaluation or do they not appear at all?

The FEMAs go into the area of study in the AAS in Environmental, Safety, and Security Technologies program. The Straighterline courses the OP took should fall into general education or free electives.

I'm happy to relay that I emailed the Admission Department about the discrepancy. All of my SL credits and FEMAs were added to my transcript. They even accepted Intro to Biology and Intro to Criminal Justice as Career Track Courses. In all, I have the required 60 Credits for the AAS in Env., Safety, and Security Technologies PLUS 8 leftover credits from 1 SL class and 5 FEMAs. :hurray:
