Princ of Management
#1
I am wondering if anyone else has run into this dilemma with Principles of Management, and I seek an opinion or two.
IC cards have gone well, and they seem straight forward. I bought the REA book, read it and score in the 60's exam 1 and 51 exam 2 .... Ouch.
On the three Petersons tests I scored in the high 80,s and one 90.
Has anyone else found REA to be horribly worded, or is it just Princ of Management?

Thanks

I keep hearing that REA is harder than the real thing. If you're scoring in the 80's on Peterson's, you are more than ready!

I agree. This is the only exam so far that we have disliked the REA.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. This is my first CLEP and the test is scheduled for Tues.
I need this credit due to being a pre-req for additional courses. I was a little disturbed in the disparity in test scores, thus, getting a a bit nervous.
So, you believe that the other REA books (Macroeconomics) are more closely aligned?

Thanks

I didn't even use the REA book; I only used the Comex guide (which I've heard is very similar to IC). It was plenty enough for me to pass. I took one Peterson test and scored about 89%.

I've found that the REA books are often harder and more involved than necessary.

I'm a fan of the REA books unless the feedback posters give a particular guide a bad review. So far I've bought the REA for 90% of the CLEP exams we've taken.

I took Principles of Management at the local CC but then used REA to study for Principles of Supervision and it was very good for that subject. By the way, if you are planning on getting that as well, just take the book out of the library and schedule to take it right away as the two subjects overlap and makes it less studying for your second test.

Thanks for the heads up. I am considering taking the Principles of Supervision exam.
