University of London is not popular at all in USA...
It'll be treated like a community college in USA.

Huh.
“Some of them are offered by very well-known institutions like Birkbeck, University of London [….] If you just need a degree of any kind under $10k, I think they're the best deals out there.”
—Nomaduser
“Let's add University of London as 'Big Four'. […] I think we need a specialized section on this forum so we can search courses that will transfer to University of London”

I imagine that the University of London, one of the best university systems in the world, will be disappointed to learn that Nomaduser has downgraded their status to “like a community college” in their biennial evaluations.
As an aside and anecdote, I attended 3 universities consistently ranked among the top 100 in the United States. The most popular universities amongst my professors were Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Duke, Stanford, Chicago, Oxford, and the constituent institutions of the University of London. Odd that world-class research universities give so much credence to the degrees from a glorified community college.
