I know I've seen threads on this before, but I did a search and SO MANY results show up for mooc, and PLA is too short of a word to search for
so which moocs have you got credit for and for which schools
and did the moocs fulfill required courses or free electives ?
am considering these mooc specialization

and then trying to do a PLA for them

I usually do the MOOCs to get up to speed on a topic or use to prepare for CLEPs or DSSTs. If you're really good and really know the material you might be able to do a PLA. Never done it myself, though.

PLA here does not get a lot of love. The Big 3 make PLA painful. I have found better luck at community colleges doing PLA.

I haven't done it, but if I were to try, I would get the course I wanted to PLA picked out, and the requirements of the PLA down before taking the MOOC. Then I would fill in my PLA portfolio as I went through the MOOC, making notes about the learning objectives fulfilled by each assignment or project and writing a short narrative about each one to be edited into the final portfolio.
