I’m currently taking a class at a community college but I would like to start the next session (May 9th) and the class ends May 23rd. Would I be able to start that session or would I have to wait until July 1st?

Are you wanting to transfer the course to UMPI? They might be okay with that, if you let them know about it.

Apply to UMPI and get admitted into the degree/program of your choice, get things transferred in accordingly (all your previous credits taken) and also email your academic advisor for permission to send in the current course. It shouldn't be a problem, you just need their permission to transfer anything in. I wouldn't wait for the next term just for this to go through unless of course you want to... I'd get the ball rolling!
