Please help me map out a good degree path and navigate fin aid.

Some people double up with an associate's in math while doing the TESU BACS, which is a pretty simple thing to do if you like math. Others do a dual degree with BACS and BSBA by filling the BACS free electives with the required business courses, however that requires doing a second capstone for the BSBA, so takes a bit more commitment.

I generally tell people to concentrate on one degree rather than getting distracted and perhaps not finishing either, but those are both popular options here.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

You can decide on the Waiver or 16 credits by reviewing what's on the WIKI and these threads below:

These are exams that cost as much as a real class and that do count toward residency (unlike TECEP exams, which are inexpensive and DO NOT count). You can see ePacks here: https://www2.tesu.edu/listallc.php?type=EP

There are also some suggested classes on this wiki page: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Th...University CIS-351/CIS-3510 is reported to be especially fast/easy for an UL class.

You can also pay $243 to extend the capstone course, if needed. This would be out of pocket, no financial aid, but could be worth it if you need it.

Ok thanks but was told epacks are not covered by financial aid. If I am down to 16 credits to finish my entire bachelors I think I will have extra stamina and motivation to crank out that final mile! Didn't know you could extend capstone, good to know!

Again, there are so many ways to slice things... If you know your budget and time line you would like this done, you can get it completed in a term or two for the 16 credits or more if you're taking two degrees and two flat rate terms to max the gpa and also the graded credits. Here's an example 16 credits: 4 courses, 1 E-Pack, one easy 1 credit course to max out the credit. The 12 credits in 1 term already maxes your financial aid, you're getting the extra epack and one credit course free.

e-Packs are covered by financial aid... if you are sneaky about it. Wink

You sign up for 10 credits of regular classes: capstone, cornerstone, something super easy like ART1000, and a 1-credit class. With this, you get put on the flat-rate tuition plan. That is covered by financial aid. Then you add two e-Packs of your choice later as an "afterthought". Because you're on the flat-rate plan, the e-Packs will be "free" and you shouldn't have to pay out of pocket at the per-credit rate.

Other students have done this before, though I think that there is sometimes pushback from TESU for doing something you're "not supposed to" do.

Hmm, that won't max your fin aid though with 10 credits, it has to be 1 epack and 1 credit course as I mentioned in the previous post before yours... You might want to enter your question here for a better response. Here's an example from a few days ago: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...s-question

And the post I was referring to was Post #24, if you want to max your fin aid, it has to be 12 credits not 10. So, 1 E-pack and the one credit course instead of two E-Packs as referenced earlier...
