Please help! DSST exams and Foundations of Education Exam
#1
Has anyone taken DSST exam or more specifically the Foundations of Education test? Can you tell me what the exam is like?

I started studying with InstantCert flashcards, but I don’t think that exam itself uses blanks like that. Are DSST exams multiple choice? How many questions do they have? How long do you have to complete it?

I took several CLEP exams and it is easy to find answers about them and study guides, but so far I was not able find any guide for the DSST Foundations of Education test.

Your help is much appreciated. Thanks a million.

DSST exams are almost the same as CLEP exams. The differences include:
-DSST has four choices instead of five
-DSST has what seems like a different number of questions on each exam
-DSST has passing scores which vary (not all set at 50)
-Scoring available at a later date online
-Elimination of the introductory "how to use a mouse" and other guides CLEP uses

Here are the details on your exam (from the DSST Technical Data Sheet):
Foundations of Education
Passing Score - 46
Number of questions - 94

My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

I haven't taken that specific DSST but have taken several others.

All DSSTs are multiple choice.
All DSSTs have a 2hr time limit.
Many DSSTs (including this one) have around 100 questions.

Here's a free study guide: Foundations of Education DSST Study Guide - Free-Clep-Prep.com

IC (and other CLEP/DSST preparatory tools) use fill in the blanks because of the way it teaches. This system has a proven track record of success. You may also want to check out the Specific Exam Feedback section for this exam - http://www.degreeforum.net/specific-exam...-dsst.html

Hope this helped some. Big Grin Best of luck...

EDIT: Looks like cooperalex beat me by 3 minutes... lol

Thank you so much. This is extremely helpful. I was really lost before you gave me this information.

I have just one more question, why can't I access the Specific Exam Feedback section? I am a paying member. Is there any trick that I am not aware of?
