So basically, log whatever courses you can and once you hit the requirements across all the areas you win! LOL
Again, I'll map it out and see how it looks. It's probably not as complicated as it seems. It will be filling out the communications area that will be a bit difficult but, I think I can figure it out.
30 UL Credits total needed
Half of those for the specialization
Basically the liberal arts credits are technically a free-for-all as long as they fit within the general education requirements. Communication courses are fine as long as they fit within ACE standards and fit the various study areas there.
In short, I think of it this way overall:
36 Communication credits, 12 being UL
84 Gen Ed/LA credits, 18 being UL (is really 78 credits due to 6 credit cornerstone/capstone)
Slight overlap between the communications and LA requirements as they say 90 credits must be liberal arts.

Most people go for the 60 LA credits to get a BS rather than the BA, its easier. Also I believe COSC still accepts FEMA which can be used to fill out the remaining to get to 120.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Can you get a BS in General Studies? If so, how do you fill out the rest of the credit requirements? Would the FEMA be enough?
Also, for some reason I like the sound of a BA degree than a BS degree. Something about the wording... LOL

OK,
Maybe I got this right, maybe I got it wrong but, here is the updated excel document with what I think will work for Charter Oak. Not sure if you can count the courses like I am counting them but, I think I have it right. This was a bit more difficult than TESC requirements but, overall it seems equivalent. Some of the TESC courses I had for UL aren't listed on the Charter Oak transfer page, which is part of why I didn't have the same ones.

I don't think I have seen a Communications concentration for COSC. Maybe under an individualized plan? Or maybe I just missed it.
I haven't looked at the COSC catalog in a while. I need to look at this overnight. Maybe if you post your plan in a new thread, a COSC student will critique it?

You could use DSST Human Cultural Geography to satisfy all three: SS/Global/and Non US, that would reduce three exams to just one. Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP is 6 credits and arguably MUCH easier than Art of the Western World...but whichever. You will need one of those Science Courses to include a Lab...I like Straighterline or even NMJC for this. With that your Gen Ed's look pretty good.
Are you sure SL Business Com is UL? I don't recall but that one is suspect. If your shooting for Psych/Communications as your concentrations I think there are easier UL than some of those Business options, but again, up to you...I'm sure they can make them work. You might consider the DSSt Substance Abuse as a Psych related UL that is pretty straightforward.
Are all the liberal arts so you can earn a BA? I might plug FEMA in and shoot for the BS instead, it would be quicker and cheaper...but I think what you have there will work fine.
****This was a very quick look.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

I'm all for easy here. If FEMA is accepted, it's free, and easy, I'll do it. What would you suggest for a communications focus for UL courses?
I'm just in the planning phases right now so, I am fully open to suggestions.
I honestly want to have a communications/philosophy focus. Someday I'd love to do a MA in Theology but, that would be more for my own edification that for any benefit. This first degree is to be able to possibly open up new doors and just so that I can say I did it.
Also, here are the concentration requirements:

If u break it into two or three concentrations they won't hold you as tightly to the breakdown you linked.
Other than what's on the Master List I don't know of to many UL communication credits

I don't know that they will allow breaking into multiple concentrations. Communications is the thing that I figured would be the most flexible degree/concentration in my areas of interest. Philosophy stuff is more of a filler/side-interest which would make the possible pursuit of a masters in theology. That and rational thought is hard to come by in some social circles these days.
