Hi --
I put together
this spreadsheet detailing the credits needed for a Pierpont degree. This would be the fastest/easiest Sophia classes. I don't see an area of emphasis that could be derived from these credits, any ideas/inputs?
This plan is for my brother's girlfriend. She just wants a degree for now, will think later on what to pursue a Bacherlor's on.
Thank you!

Can you share the list of classes that the person took? Things also depend on what the person's strengths are. Someone might be great at math, another in coding, someone else loves Biology and another student has a good knack for history.
If the person knows foreign languages, ACTFL exams are accepted by Pierpont as credit. They accepted my exams with the full ACE reccomended credit. As far as I know, Pierpont only offers Spanish as an AOE which is the one I will get. But maybe there is a person out here lurking the forums that wants a German or French language AOE. They could get their 15 credits doing ACTFL exams and see if they can get their chosen language as an AOE.

Pierpont doesn't offer German or French, so I don't think it's possible to get a German or French AOE there.
That said, the sheer fastest AoE would be to complete the Google IT Support Professional Certificate (FREE through TADA so long as signups are completed by the end of the month). If she doesn't want that, I don't think that there is a possible AOE with her current credits. She'd need to take at least a few extra Sophia courses if she wants one. That leaves a few possibilities:
1.) Ask Nancy Parks. It's possible that there is an AOE that we are overlooking.
2.) Complete the IT Support Professional certificate.
3.) Pick an AOE from
https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pi...f_Emphasis and complete the required 3-5 classes (English or Communication might only require 3 or 4 because of what's already listed)
4.) Get a Pierpont degree with no AOE.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Maybe a Science AOE is possible? Depends on how Nancy organizes those Geography and Environmental Science credits. Would still need additional credits though.
Sophia has Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy which were accepted by Pierpont in my transcript. Saylor has some coures like Geography that are also accepted by them.

@mohelena02, Ask which options they want to work on after reviewing the WIKI for the Area of Emphasis... the 'default' is a general business not a general studies option, so you need to make sure the student wants to get some emphasis. For example, if they're looking to go to UMPI for a BLS in the future, it'll hit all 60 credits for max transfer, they can get a different minor at UMPI too.
