I think it's once a year upon sign on you are asked to update your account. It is only logging in, username, passcode, clicking on an access button and that's it. It does not ask for any additional information. I took my final CLEP exam in January of this year but recently contemplated taking the american government exam, so logged in to take a practice test. I quickly lost interest and started brushing up on stats instead but good to know it's there when needed. Don't forget about the prometric practice exam promo code PEDSST2011. I think it's available through the end of this month. "Setting a goal is not the main thing. Sorry if this seems silly, but are you all saying its ok to say I'm in the military even tho I'm not just so I can get the tests? And what/where are the prometric tests that bricabrac mentioned? All of those links require me to say I am in the military.... so I am at a bit of a dead end.
