Peterson Practice Tests
#11
I am trying to take practice tests on Human/cultural geography DSST but when I go to the link below (I tried the one on this thread but it did not have my test) it keeps asking what branch of the military I am. I am not in the military; I do work as a contractor and it does say that in paranthisis but am still not clear if I am allowed to put that I am Army -as I work for the Army. My test is on the 21st, any help I could get would be great!

yes, you can put branch/army, role/civil svc-contractor, base/local

I just took my first Peterson's because of this thread. I scored a 79/120, which translates to 65.83%. Getting 41 out of 120 questions seems really bad to me, as well as a 65/100 on a test. Did I score that correctly? Either way, I'm reviewing my wrong answers, but I am wondering if this 65 is equivalent to the CLEP scoring....
Thanks!
Lyanne

I'd like to know how to interpret my Peterson's scores as well. Just tried the Dantes substance abuse test, and got a 77, then a 74. Haven't studied for it all yet, so I think I can bump that up.

Additionally, I've used the IC cards to study Intro to Sociology. Got a 79 on a practice test. The Peterson's test didn't have a lot of material covered by the IC cards, but I scored a 79.

Where does this put me?

Use petersons tests as a learning tool. They are harder than the actual CLEPs and from what I heard also harder than the DSSTs.
