While I continue to search for another opportunity for work to come my way, I have been spending time learning about an interesting point of view. That is every person has a primary archetype, whether it is being; a connector, a maven, or a salesman(woman). A connector tends to be a person, who knows people and who has a good memory for peoples' names. They also like to go to parties. Although you might expect connectors to be extroverted that is not always the truth as some connectors are introverted. Then there is the maven, these people are information collectors. A maven is someone, who enjoys shopping for deals and then telling their friends all about these deals. This would be a good example of a market place maven. However, there are other mavens with a great deal of knowledge concerning other subjects. The third category is salesman(woman). These people are often make good story tellers and they are also good at convincing you to buy something or convincing you to do something. So which one archetype do you think fits you best? Of course, this is a little more complicated than you might think considering that you can also have a secondary archetype. Here is a link that may interest you. Know Your Strength for More Success: Are you a Connector, a Maven, or a Salesman?

I seem to fit the connector the most (the most yes answers); however I see a lot of the other traits in me too…I love science, research, independent studies and evidenced based practice. However when that gets dull, I enjoy a good loud laugh. I honestly don't like the spotlight very much…too much pressure and not enough quiet and peace.
What were your findings?

I think that I am primarily an introverted Connector. Although, I answered nearly as many questions in the Salesman category. By the way, Connectors always have a knack for making friends uncannily. These friends are usually other connectors. Typically, you will have traits of all three categories.

That is interesting. Some mavens have to think about it a little longer to decide which category best fits, their personal traits.
