I know there is a secret, or not so secret, list of Individual Courses on the Penn Foster site..... I just can not find it. If anyone can point me, or link me, to the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
I am looking for Intro to Music or Intro to Art or anything ArtS Appreciation related, as well as American History or Am Civilization etc. I have to replace a few old D's to make my AMU Masters program people happy. For once in my life, I actually think taking the PF online course with a friendly proctor will be easier than crunching for a fast CLEP.
FYI...I did search the archives but there are not less than 1 million Penn Foster posts and after reading at least 500,000 of them, I am resorting to simply asking for help from the board.
Thanks!!!!

Thanks for the link to the catalog and that does help. What I need to find is the fee per credit / individual course and how to sign up for individual courses. Is there a set amount of assignments for the PF courses or is it "take five quizzes and then the final exam" and that is it?
Thanks thanks thanks for any Penn Foster experts out there for pointing me in the right direction. I know TESC inside and out it seems, but know nothing about PF and their options.

Just make sure that the classes you take from PF are easily transferable, look on the ace sight to make sure they are credited.

Thanks. I searched some more and found the tele #'s and contact person for the individual courses 1-800-233-0259 or 800-961-6407 and choose option 1.
As much as I love to cram for a CLEP, I started to read the REA for US History 2 and was dozing within ten minutes. I think I would be better off with a not-too-tough online course for History 101 and Music 101.
I want to ask PF about the whole proctoring thing since I am in Japan but I have worked it out with TESC so I am sure it will be fine.
I do not need to really transfer the credits to AMU since they just need to see that I have better than a D. I would think that should not be too hard to pull off seeing as I am not working full time, taking too many courses, trying to find a parking space at my school of over 50,000 students, being chased by upper classmen and am not looking for the next big party. ahhhh the good ol' days of college.
As always, thanks for the help.

What I did was go over to ACE sight and look to which classes Penn Foster had on the ACE site which they gave R/A accreditation to, and went from there.
I may do the same thing for when I start my Grad program.
As for proctors with Penn Foster, I believe your proctor only needs a AA degree and not be a family member, quite convient actually.

Hold on before you register for that class at PF. Try the Quickbooks U.S. History II. That is all I used and I got a very good score on this test. I also used IC cards but not until I read the entire small book.

How do you find which Penn Foster courses are RA and which are NA from the ACE website?
After all morning of trying to figure out where to find it, I finally found Penn Foster courses listed there, but I don't see a list of which are RA and NA.
So, how do you know when checking on a particular course?
