Pats20 TESU questions
#11
@Pats20, You're doing the BACS as well right? If that's the case, you've got the second Capstone to hit the final requirement for residency. Did you already add that to your 16 credits?

Yes. I will have 9 credits to count toward residency for bacs. I will pay the $3300 Then i should only have to take bus cap And another tesu course to satisfy residency for the 2nd degree.

I don’t want to postpone conferring my bacs in order to complete the 9 courses I will need to complete bsba cis

The 9 credits plus two new courses leave you at 15 credits (unless you're taking a lab course for a four credit course) - you'd be a credit short for residency.

Right. I figured there was a 1 credit course I could take if necessary. From what I understand from this thread if I complete the courses necessary to fulfill the degree requirements within 1 year of my residency waiver than it won’t matter anyways, since my residency fee should be good for 1 year.

Note: You may want to verify that with the registrar if it's 1 residency fee forward after you first Bachelors. That final part is still iffy, at best it'll go up the chain of command to the registrar and they can relay the info to you. I think it's a residency fee for an associates, within 15 months, if you graduate with a bachelors, it's included. Anything after that, for example, you graduate a Associates and First Bachelors, you'll have to pay again for the Second Residency Fee.

So you’re saying the residency fee for the first bachelors won’t cover the second even if it’s completed within the year ?

Unless I'm missing something, 9*3 = 18. This is 6 credits short of the 24 minimum NEW credits required for getting a second degree. Either you postpone your BACS or you don't do the CIS.
