I believe I studied for this for less than three hours. There are some misconceptions about this exam. It is not textbook-specific. It covers concepts that should be in any decent, strategic management textbook. Strategic Management is one of the easier business subjects, in my opinion. The hardest part of the exam is memorizing the "lists." You don't need the textbook for the lists. Just about everything was in the Instantcert flashcards. I also looked over four different flashcard sets on Quizlet. The Quizlet sets were more convenient for reviewing the lists over and over again. The short answer and essay questions will test your memorization, but I'm glad I took this test over the Penn Foster course. I didn't have to attend any live webinars, and I didn't have to write any papers.

Did you only use instant cert to study for this exam?
Also.. Thank you so much for your BSBA CIS plan! I've been viewing it almost every day, trying to pick the best options for reaching this degree with the most knowledge obtainable.
TESU March 2020 Graduation
--ASNSM Mathematics
--BSBA Accounting
--BA Computer Science
University of Alaska Fairbanks (December 2021 Graduation Goal)
--MBA (2/10 : 4.0)
I started this journey in the summer of 2016. I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.

Congrats on the pass! I agree it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I spent about 12-14 hours over the course of a week studying for it including reading the textbook. It definitely isn't something I could have gone into unprepared but it's very doable and the Business in Society exam was a good bit more difficult.

I used the IC flashcards and Quizlet flashcard sets people made for the TECEP. I have a previous version of the recommended textbook. I read the key points (summary) sections of the first seven chapters, but didn't feel like I was getting anything out of them and stopped. Good thing I didn't spend a lot of money on the book.

Congrats! Wish I would have used the flashcards but I did a week of studying the textbook and passed. I though the Operations Management exam was more difficult than the Strategic Management exam.
