PF Strategic Management
#71
Enroll in the course, it's TESU who decides that aspect, not PF. Get enrolled today and be done by June 27 if you finish your paper in the 3 weeks.

creditmonsoon Wrote:really weird...I just called Penn Foster and they told me that you have to have the course completed BEFORE July 1st for TESC to accept it....i'm dumbfounded!

Haha, we've been telling them that so, the entire Penn Foster team knows TESU isn't going to be accepting it in the new calendar catalogue year. But you just need to register before then, not finish at that time, as someone mentioned, you can get it done by end of June.

Email Ann Gardner, she's the best, she'll get that setup for you. Again, if you need more courses that there are no other option for but TECEPS, you may want to get her to enroll you into Financial Management as well, you can finish it at the same time.

I was looking into taking the capstone through Penn Foster, but wasn't sure I would have enough time. Then I saw someone that said that as long as you are enrolled before July 1st you are good to go. so I emailed Penn Foster and the advisors at TESU to get my own written proof. However, this is the response I received 10 minutes ago:

Quote:Thomas Edison is no longer accepting the Strategic Management course from any outside source. The class must be completed with the University as either an online course or a TECEP exam. Provided here is a link to the course information if you would like to see which topics will be covered and types of assignments you will have: Thomas Edison State University | Courses & Schedules.

Ouch, I'm almost done my course, just working on my project! But I did email the assistant dean and was informed of that July 1st enrollment. What you can do is to forward that email to her and then have her reply to you, you should get a copy/paste response like I did, it was pretty much mentioning enrollment by July 1. View here: http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...ement.html

I think others got the same email, I wonder how many more people are going to be sending her an email as in our webinar, half of the class were TESU students and not PF final 8th semester students... Email and see what she says, it may be possible still with her pre-approval.

Awesome! She does a good job, did you signup for the Financial Management too? I took it cuz of the 5 non proctored exams, and a non proctored final
(no webinars or projects to wait for!). I'm also taking International Business, doing that quickly, but going to miss the last webinar, as I'm outta town then.
Price wise, it's a bit more than I wanna pay, but it's easier and faster for me to complete than doing the TECEP.

Does the International Business have a project like Strategic Management? I need to go ahead and sign up for both it and Financial Management and get them knocked out. I have already lost out on the savings and will now be paying extra with the price increase, but I wanna get them done with before TESU makes any other changes to their transfer policy.

It does have a project similar to SM as well as proctored final, webinars and discussion board as they have the same instructor.

Wow, a proctored final and a project? Is the final proctored through ProctorU or do they use any form of proctoring? Just seeing what other options there might be for this particular requirement in the BSBA program. I really don't want to take anything through TESU, but don't want to wait on more webinars either.
