I was reading a post a few down that got me thinking.
What courses are good to pair up when studying? Some one in a earlier post mentioned there was a thread outlining a good strategy for pairing tests. such as DSST intro to computing then take info computer systems CLEP.
Anyone care to posts their strategy or what tests share similar info etc?
Thanks

That line up sounds like a doozy, but makes sense.

I found a lot of common study items with both the CLEP American Government and US History 1 exams. Took both exams this month. Both had a number of questions in common about 1st, 10th, 12th and 14th amendments. Seperation of powers and formation of US government structure.
For those studying only US1, if you have time drilling on the Am Gov instantcert flashcards makes for a good supplemental study guide. It worked for me. I took Am Gov first and scored 66. I took US1 about a week later and scored 71.
Studying for US-2 exam now. I've found taking these three tests in this order helpful.

College Math, then College Algebra. I think this pair is overlooked a lot. They go hand in hand.

Exam Strategies
There is a method to the madness for when to take each exam. I call it exam grouping.
*
With exam grouping you can study for multiple exams at the same time*and let similar exams build on the study of the next. For example there are a number of psychology exams in the degree program. You should group these exams so that the information is still fresh as a number of topics will cross exams.
*
*
Here is a psychology exam group.
*
Psychology Group 1
CLEP Intro to Psychology
CLEP Educational Psychology
CLEP Human Growth and Development
*
Psychology Group 2
ECE Abnormal Psychology
ECE Research Methods in Psychology
*
Psychology Group 2
ECE Psychology of Adulthood and Aging
ECE Foundations of Gerontology
*
All of these exams should be study for and taken in one stretch because the material blends together and studying for one exam will inevitably help you with another.
*
Another exam group would be the Social Sciences
Social Sciences*Group 1
CLEP Social Sciences and History
CLEP Intro to Sociology
CLEP American Government
*
Social Sciences Group 2
CLEP U.S. History I
CLEP U.S. History II
*
Social Sciences 3
DSST Cultural Geography
DSST Anthropology
ECE World Population
*
Criminal Justice Group
DSST Intro to Law Enforcement
DSST Criminal Justice
*
Ethics Group
ECE Ethics, Theory and Practice
DSST Ethics in America
*
*
*
