So I was browsing the NCCRS website when I came across onlinedegree.com
Apparently it is brand new: "OnlineDegree.com, an NCCRS member since February 2018, is making higher education more accessible and affordable for everyone"
Browsing the site it only let me sign up for an invite only beta program that it says will be launching soon within the next 30 days. The site says it intends to be completely free as well which is quite intriguing. There are 13 courses that already have NCCRS approval.
Has anyone seen or heard of this program before? Does it seem legit?

I don't know much about them, but I believe they have been in alpha for the last 6 months or so. Always nice to see more free options out there.
The courses they have NCCRS approved so far are:
- Astronomy- Introduction to Cosmology (AS101)
- Biology- Organisms and Ecosystems (BG101)
- Business- Introduction to Accounting and Finance (BS102)
- Business- Introduction to Strategy and Marketing (BS101)
- Computer Science- Introduction to Programming (CS101)
- Cooking- Introduction to Culinary Skills (CK101)
- Criminal Justice- Cybersecurity and Cybercrime (CJ103)
- Economics- Introduction to Microeconomics (EC101)
- Environmental Science- Climate Change & the Cryosphere (EV103)
- Healthcare- Introduction to Public Health (HC101)
- Nutrition & Health- Body Sculpting with Diet and Exercise (NU102)
- Psychology- Introduction to Psychology (PS101)
- Robotics- Introduction to Robotics (RB101)
Mostly standard fare lower-division courses, but they do have a few non-standard courses that look interesting to me. So, if I get an invite or they end up launching before I'm done, I may be compelled to take some.

We have a bit of overlap in the courses we're interested in. These are the chief ones I'd be looking at:
- Computer Science- Introduction to Programming (CS101) - we need more programming courses
- Cooking- Introduction to Culinary Skills (CK101) - just seems fun
- Environmental Science- Climate Change & the Cryosphere (EV103) - assuming it doesn't conflict with the SL or Study.com Env Sci courses.
- Nutrition & Health- Body Sculpting with Diet and Exercise (NU102) - assuming it doesn't conflict with the SL or Study.com nutrition courses
- Robotics- Introduction to Robotics (RB101) - also seems fun
However, given the free cost, I might take more if they're available quickly enough.

It's nice that they do have at least a few original options, but it is frustrating that all of these course providers mostly continue to offer the same old stuff
It looks like an interesting project none the less, though, especially if it is actually free. Can't beat that. A free course is a free course, regardless if other providers offer it.

Agree with you 100%.
I will most likely be doing the robotics course even though I don't need it.
Hopefully, if they ever start, they will continue to build up their catalogue. I personally want to see more cheap or free options in areas besides the first year gen eds.

Google Cache and The Wayback Machine both have "coming soon" instead of "30 days", so hopefully this goes live soon.

Indeed. I noticed sometimes it says "coming soon" but some screens say "Pre-Enroll to Save Your Spot!
Education is about to change forever. Be the first to enroll and take all the courses you want…Free! We’ll be opening up the doors in less than 30 days."
