I would be surprised if ANY school accepted these if they don't already accept NCCRS. It might be handy for an employer who wants to see certain courses.

I got an email today also. It was the first email I have received from them. I "pre-registered" back when their name first showed up here. I have been wondering why I wasn't getting the emails everyone else was.

The first email I got from them went to spam folder because gmail AI noticed that it was very "spammy"

Interesting article. Doesn't sound like they understand a lot (offering up College Board/ACT testing is odd), but I like the idea of the Gates Foundation partnering with Study.com or another provider like that (my idea) and making college more affordable.

I don't want to beat a dead horse, but my hesitation with NCCRS credit is that when a company folds, there is no record- so though we know the big 3 take NCCRS credit, one has to really be deliberate and fast getting it sent and applied to a transcript. The credit is free, so it's hard to argue with that, but if a person spends time, that's still something!!

I agree with that. I think that's why they made the agreement with excelsior to provide an official transcript for a fee.
I inquired with them about ACE before, the person I spoke to before didn't seem to know what that is.
