When I took my general subject CLEPs over 20 years ago, I didn't have the results sent to a college. The only record of their having been taken is my AARTS transcript. Has anyone had experience with any of the Big 3 accepting general exam CLEP credits solely based on an AARTS transcript? Thanks.

Happy, happy, joy, joy. I just spoke with Prometrics, and THEY keep CLEP scores for...well, I don't know how long, but it's been over 25 years since I took the Gen Ed tests and they still have 'em. I'll keep my fingers crossed that COSC gives me credit for some/most/all of them.
Now, if I could just figure out why my AARTS is just recommending that I only get credit for 71D10, when it shows me as having been on duty as a 71D20, that would be great. It might mean that I wouldn't have to take the Technical Writing course. (Why I'm worrying about this is beyond me. The test has a reputation for being easy, and I'd just have to get the credits needed testing out on something that's probably harder!) Well, for now I'm a happy camper. eeya:

When I enrolled in TESC and Excelsior, they took my CLEP/DSST scores straight from my AARTS transcript. So you should be fine. They are pretty good about accepting old scores. Don't know about COSC though.

The AARTS transcipt doesn't show a recommendation for basic training, and doesn't show a recommendation for credit for my time as a 71D20. (That's what legal specialists used to be.) I'm getting my old records sent to the Human Resources Command. Don't know why I'm bothering because I don't know if COSC will even accept any credits from basic training. Still, since I haven't enrolled anywhere, I might as well get the record cleaned up. The AARTS shows my time in sevice as a 71D20, so I'm getting a letter out to Human Resources Command asking for my AARTS to reflect a rcommendation for credit at that level. It would be very helpful if the recommendations appeared on my record.
So, how's life going in Afghanistan? Have you encountered many folks trying to get their degrees by testing out over there?

So far so good, still alive over here. I've only gotten 2 enrolled in Excelsior and 1 in TESC from over here. I have about 7 that started studying and testing here at the ED Center.
Sent you a PM regarding AARTS.
