I've looked at almost all of the schools and companies that offer NCCRS and ACE evaluated courses. I tried to find ACE-approved, online courses offered by TEEX multiple times until I one day came across the article on the cybersecurity courses being approved for college credit. When I have to get a certification for work, I always think, "I wonder if I can get credit for this."
I understand completely. I wonder if they have support groups for this...and if I can get credit for going?

I thought about starting a petition and posting it here to have the Big 3 consider MOOCs for credit since more traditional public schools are already doing it. I'll get on that once I finish this week's assignments for my grad program. Ugh. We should all flood them with letters.
My guess is that they'll start doing so once more traditional schools start accepting them. What the tipping point on this will be I don't know. Of course if ACE approval is sought for these MOOCS anyways, that would make it even easier.

But then you'd have less time to spend here! And we'd miss you. Easy answer, just stay obsessed. :p

I like self-paced credit but the cost part is not that important to me. If a school offered me a way to pick up 3 graduate level credits in psychology for $500 via a self-paced option I'd grab it. It doesn't have to be free it just has to be reasonable and fit into my lifestyle.

Yeah but how can I feed my obsession if I get no credit for it?!? Say, perhaps we can talk to IC about this and seek ACE or NCCRS approval for participation here?

Rich Douglas, maybe cantankerous sometimes but really one of the good things about degreeinfo and degreediscussion, topped up years of posting on related subjects with an
individualized Ph.D. in Nontraditional Higher Education from what's now Union Institute & University.
So where's your dissertation proposal?

Isn't there a CLEP, DSST or TECEP I could do instead?

I’m more of an obsessed moocher for learning how to earn credit. I’m more then happy to take what all of you have found and apply it.
If it fits into my degree and if it fits in with my life and without lightening the wallet, then it's legit and I suppose in that manner I'm obsessed.
