Wow, the texture of this thread had certainly changed since the first post or should I say "Evolved?"

Yes, I know! It has "grown" from a simple question to long drawn out discussions.
Because I hate irresolution, I would like to say that I have enjoyed discussing all the above with the folks on here; however, it really has gotten blown away from the original thought.

Now that the elections are over I don't really see a point to the original question anyway.
But I can tell you my expectations politically speaking, for the next four years are less than optimistic. As I've said before, I hope I'm wrong, but we'll see...

Also I would encourage folks here on this thread to branch out and create new threads based from this one.
With the multiplicity of topics it would be easier to follow. Also the more sources and logic you have for your assertions the better.

Finally, as I said, I've enjoyed this experience and if I had the time for research I would pursue it further, currently. But I either lack the time or the skill to use it effectively, either way I'm stuck.

Are you referring to me? What exactly have I said that sounds foolish to you? The part about nontheists having morals/consciences? Or something else? I never made any rash anti-religious statements, nor did I say anything with the express intention of insulting someone's religion.

Oh sorry, my bad. I think I confused your name with someone else because I was briefly trading views with MomOfMany (who you instructed in your post not to argue with fools) on Page 15 starting at Post #148. I didn't think I'd said anything ignorant or one-sided enough to be called a fool outright, but some people get super-angry over this stuff.

MomofMany was trying to educate, too. I suppose that since we're on an education forum, I actually think that folks are open to other's opinions, especially when they are supported by facts. Silly me.
