(Not free) ECTS in Business, Philosophy, and more
#1
Domuni Universitas is an online (Catholic) French university. It offers certificates of 15 ECTS each in 5 categories. Cost is 650€ per certificate. https://www.domuni.eu/en/learning/certificates/ These certificates are in Philosophy (various topics), Theological Studies (various topics - including church history), Business, Human Rights, and Canon Law. There are also 3 "hidden" certificates in Christian Training that are not listed on the main certificate page. These are worth 18 ECTS each. https://www.domuni.eu/en/learning/christian-training/

Individual courses are 200€ each for 3 ECTS. https://www.domuni.eu/en/learning/individual-courses/ Includes Latin I & II.

There is NO minimum age to take these courses. The only requirement is to have graduated from high school. I do not know if they verify this for the certificates/individual courses. They may only verify this for their degree programs.

Courses are self-paced and are assessed by written assignment, not by exam. The paper is expected to be 12,000-16,000 characters (approximately 1850-3200 words). Students are given 1 year to complete a certificate, though extensions are also possible. It sounds like they can be completed more quickly, if desired.

Per the FAQ, the courses are suitable for students who have English as a second language because students are assessed by content/relevance and not by grammatical errors and other English quality issues. This could possibly make them suitable even for students who are dyslexic or who otherwise have difficulties with writing in English. At least some courses/certificates are also available in French, Spanish, Italian, and Arabic.

Depending on which evaluator you choose, and how they are evaluated, the 15 ECTS certificates could be worth as little as 7.5 American credits or as many as 45 American credits. (ECTS are supposed to be worth 0.5 American credits each, but have been evaluated as high as 3 American credits each, depending on evaluator & school.)

Per a review on the sister forum, these courses are suitable even for non-Catholics. The courses are apparently more objective than other courses the student has taken in the past.

These could be a good source of credits for some TESU students. If ACEI evaluates them in the same way that they do XAMK credits, the certificates could be as low as about $20 per US credit. If they are given a more standard evaluation, they could be about $115/credit, which would still be lower in price than ASU courses. I doubt that any of these would evaluate as UL credits, but I could be mistaken.

You may want to do your research, they have more offerings available by distance or online education.  In addition to the certs, they offer degrees at the undergrad and graduate level, here's a post from about a year ago.
