Big Grin
Hello everyone!

I am new here, but been busy reading so many posts of helpful information.  I am in need of some guidance on my degree planning.  I have completed the template below.  I have been reading a bit on UMPI, but am also looking into UMass Global, but haven't read the best reviews on UMass, so not sure.  I would like to complete my degree as fast as possible and am willing to test out of most classes available.

Your Location: Vermont
Your Age: 46
What kind of degree do you want?: Business, Accounting or Computer Science, prefer BA or BS but flexible on major

Sophia Credits: 39
Art History I
College Algebra
Environmental Science
Introduction to Business
Introduction to Ethics
Introduction to Nutrition
Introduction to Relational Databases
Introduction to Statistics
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Spanish I
U.S. History I
Visual Communications

Budget: I'd like to go the cheapest route possible, but will consider spending more for easy and fast.
Commitments: I currently work full time and can work on my studies part time or in the evenings/weekends.
Dedicated time to study: I estimate at least 1 hour every week night and about 8 hours on weekends, total about 13-15 hours per week
Timeline: Finishing the courses required for the degree as fast as possible
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None
I do not mind test outs for most subjects except any math. I am not a huge fan of paper writing, but will deal with it Smile

Thank you all!

Ok so what type of work do u do? What is most of your experience in? If you don't like papers and you go to UMPI you're running the risk of getting burned out and eventually quit.
I could be wrong but a business degree and a computer degree are miles apart. If you want to finish something "fast" you should go with what u have experience in. Are you looking to chamge careers and pursue computer science? I'm a tad bit confused.

@nancynancy01, Welcome to the board, with compact and concise information, you're better off doing the BABA with a concentration of your choice. You should continue to maximize your classes for transfer from Sophia.org until you hit 90+ credits, you can then start UMPI with the minimum 30 credits for residency.

Have you taken a look at the WIKI for UMPI and their degree plans? You should create a spreadsheet to track all 40+ classes/120+ credits for reference and to review your progress. You can link us to your spreadsheet, by making the file viewable (not editable) in your google or one drive. We can recommend any changes if needed...

I recommend a BABA with a concentration, having said that... If you need the cheap, easy, fast option, the BLS with a minor or two would work as well. Decide which may work, a quick check the box BLS, or a more streamlined BABA Link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI
