We had a glitch on Sunday with my son's DSST practice exam, it essentially cancelled his test before he started...which is no good, he needed to study. Anyway, couldn't get through to a person, but did send them an email, a tweet, and a Facebook message at lunch time. Never did get his test, but an email from tech support on Sunday night at 10 pm said his test was cancelled and we'd get a refund in 4 weeks. banghead
Monday- of course got live person but after spending no less than 25 minutes holding for the wrong person and 10 more minutes for the right one, I got through to the right person who told me point blank- there is no tech support for practice tests. Zero. He told me if we want to do the test, we must create another account with a new username and pay again. Ughh. Well, we paid again and got in, and he took the practice test.
After another call (I really wanted an answer) it boils down to a glitch in the system when you buy the practice test. Apparently, though you have 24 hours to take the test, you only have 2 minutes to launch it! So,I created his account Sunday morning, but he logged in Sunday afternoon to take the test- that's what was wrong. The work-around the glitch is to launch the test immediately, and then log out, leaving it "in progress" if you can't take the test immediately. This isn't written anywhere, but now we know. :ack:
